Developed in accordance with Executive Order 13693, “Planning for Federal Sustainability in the Next Decade," the VA Sierra Pacific’s Energy Management Program identifies sustainability goals and defines the agency’s strategy for achieving these goals.

The Energy program’s focus is on improving the energy and operational efficiency of facilities by investing in renewable energy projects, along with improving commodity purchasing and operations as well as maintenance practices. The goal of the VA Sierra Pacific Network’s Energy Program is to be a national leader in innovation and sustainability.

The VA Sierra Pacific Network’s Energy Program leverages Alternative Financed Contracts, such as Utility Energy Savings Contracts (UESC) and Energy Savings Performance Contracts in order to overcome budget and resource constraints, and to support the state-of-the-art healing environments and mission-critical facilities which serve our Veterans.
