Groups/Associations
The Anxiety Disorders Association of America offers a referral network of professional therapists, as well as a self-help group network.
The Associate for Advancement of Behavior Therapy (AABT) is a professional organization that maintains a database of CBT therapist at https://aabt.org/members/Directory/Clinical_Directory.cfm
The National Institute of Mental Health Anxiety Disorders has published an extensive list of mental health organizations to help the consumer find more information about anxiety disorders and related issues, as well as to obtain referrals for specialists in different geographical areas.
Sidran offers a referral list of professional therapists, as well as a fact sheet on how to choose a therapist for PTSD and dissociative disorders.
The National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) has a website with information on advocacy for those with mental illness, including affiliates who provide family support groups in different states.

Facts for health offers a referral database for clinicians based on clinicians who have completed a continuing education course on PTSD or clinicians who have been identified by the directors of the Madison Institute of Medicine as being specialists in PTSD.

Resources
The Readjustment Counseling Service's community-based Vet Centers provide information and diagnostic evaluations concerning PTSD and many other problems to any veteran who served in a war zone or in a military conflict (such as in Panama, Grenada, or Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan). There are no co-payments or charges of any kind for Vet Center confidential services. Please call 1-800-905-4675.

Military OneSource is the same as Army OneSource for all military forces, a 24-hour, seven-days-a-week, toll free information and referral telephone service available worldwide to active duty, Reserve, and National Guard military members and their families, and deployed civilians and their families. Military OneSource provides information ranging from every day concerns to deployment/reintegration issues. Additionally, if there is a need for face-to-face counseling Military OneSource can provide a referral for six sessions per issue with professional civilian counselors at no cost to the military or family member (only available in the United States and Puerto Rico). Overseas, Military OneSource can help access those existing services provided through the Medical Treatment Facilities. Users may use the website to order educational materials (booklets, cds, etc.) at no charge and access consultants on-line on a 24/7 basis.
